Dear Internet,
At 22 years old Dave Warneke has performed three solo shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Dave’s latest offering FACT! was a high energy mixed multimedia show and proved to be his most successful to date. Dave recently took his late night comedy game show Facty Fact to the 2013 Adelaide Fringe and then the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, his fourth comedy festival in as many years. Guests on the game show included: Paul Foot, Greg Fleet, Dave O'Neil, Simon Munnery, Lawrence Leung, DeAnne Smith and many more. Dave’s other internet based pursuits include his live comedy podcast Persuasion and his online comedic documentary web series The Dave Warneke Experience. In the episodes Dave sets himself a ridiculous goal and documents the results. Some of the things the series has seen him attempt include listening to every song on his iPod in a row, wearing g-strings to promote comfort awareness for women, trying to eat one of everything in a vending machine and remaking the first Harry Potter film with himself in every role. Just in case you thought Dave was wasting his life he wanted me to tell you that he has an Arts degree in Media and Drama, and is currently completing his Masters... so he’s pretty much qualified to do any Chekhov related job ever. The MX 2013 The laugh count in this show is up there with some of the big name acts. Warneke is funny; proper laugh-out-loud funny. The Pun 2012 A brilliant comedic performer with three Melbourne International Comedy Festival shows under his belt and a bright future ahead. Squirrel Comedy 2012 This was a solid show with lots of laughs. Dave is someone to look out for. The Herald Sun 2012 Despite his tender years, Warneke is an accomplished stage presence, confident and engaging, and moves things along with a smoothness many veterans would envy.
